• Official opening plenary session, Wednesday 15th October 2008,
• Series of scientific and technical communications in parallel topical sessions,Wednesday 15th October 2008 afternoon and Thursday 16th October 2008,
• High level restitution of all the communications, followed by the closing session of the conference, Friday 17th October morning.

Waves, currents (tidal or ocean currents), tide (tidal energy), ocean thermal energy conversion (OTEC), salinitiy gradient (osmotic pressure), offshore wind, biomass: communications, either dedicated to one of these marine renewable energies (also called ocean energy or offshore renewable energy), or transverse, will cover topics as listed underneath
